About Us

Gold Coast Pediatric Therapy provides occupational therapy evaluation and treatment to children with a wide variety of diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, rheumatic, congenital and developmental disorders. Therapy emphasizes rehabilitation of the total child with a focus on upper extremity functioning, fine motor skills, visual-motor skills and sensory motor integration.

Gold Coast Pediatric Therapy also services children with shortened attention span, learning disabilities, sensory processing issues, and autistic spectrum disorders. Splinting evaluations are available and custom splints are fabricated as needed.

Jennie Lewin, OTR/L Jennifer P. Lewin, OTR/L
Occupational Therapist
Founder, Gold Coast Pediatric Therapy LLC

Jennifer Lewin, having earned a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Occupational Therapy with highest honors from the University of Florida, is licensed to practice in the states of Florida and New York.

An occupational therapist working in pediatrics since 2000, Jennifer has worked with children with neurological, developmental, orthopedic, rheumatologic, and congenital disabilities in a variety of settings, including hospital-based, outpatient treatment centers, home-based, school-settings, hippotherapy and aquatic therapy.

Jennifer worked for Boca Raton Community Hospital before moving to New York City in August 2002 to work at Hospital for Special Surgery, ranked #1 in orthopedics by US News & World Report. After two years as a staff clinician in the pediatric outpatient department, Jennifer was promoted to Advanced Clinician and awarded the Leo Farbman Fellow in Pediatric Therapy.

This fellowship provided Jennifer with the opportunity to assist in co-founding with Michelle G. Carlson MD, a world-renowned hand surgeon, the CHArm (Children and Adolescent Hand and Arm) Center at Hospital for Special Surgery.

Through her clinical and research experience at the CHArm Center, Jennifer presented lectures nationally at the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) and American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH). In March 2006, Jennifer was invited to Milan, Italy to represent the therapeutic community and present multiple lectures on the treatment of the upper extremity in children with cerebral palsy. Jennifer’s published work was compiled in textbook format for a chapter in Post-Operative Treatment Protocols, an Elsevier Publication.

Jennifer returned to her hometown of Boca Raton, FL in 2007, excited to bring her extensive knowledge and energetic treatment approaches to the children and families of her community.
